“Tradooko” is a young App designed to overcome language barriers through the possibility of a simultaneous translation that is activated with a single click.
But it also has a peculiarity: that of being able to make a meeting accessible to deaf participants thanks to the live captioning mode, which automatically transcribes the audio into subtitles and vice versa.
Its creator is a Florentine, Niccolò Raffaelli, a designer by profession, who explains how Tradooko was developed using artificial intelligence as a start up, starting from the need to communicate fluently for business reasons with an intuitive tool that requires little interaction with the device. In Italy, there are still a minority of people capable of communicating in at least one foreign language for reasons related to poor knowledge or shyness in holding conversations with foreigners”.
But what are the peculiarities of Tradooko? “Tradooko is the first App in the world capable of making continuous simultaneous translations, that is, without interruptions. You press the microphone button once and start speaking with a slight pause, just long enough for the translation, and then you start speaking again without having to press any buttons again.
It was designed primarily for business reasons such as translations and transcriptions of meetings, presentations, fairs, events, its applications are countless. Furthermore, it provides a live captioning feature dedicated to the deaf community, that is, the possibility of instantly receiving a translated transcript of what the person in front of us is saying.
Tradooko allows for smooth and uninterrupted translation, but it is not limited to translation alone, it also offers transcription features, sharing the transcription, archiving, importing and immediate translation of an audio file, all within a single App”.
